Hello all, for those in OKC, you all will have first chance to catch these QX ships as they arrive in their F9 Jet Express colors, transforming into the 4 College liveries, WSU, Oregon, OSU and Washington, reflecting the order in which agreements were reached for Horizon to use their trademarked logos and symbols. The painting will take about 10 days per aircraft.
Currently at the AAR Aircraft Services facility in OKC is ship 617.

I was wondering why Horizon was sending CR7's from PDX to OKC the other day. I keep forgetting about AAR there even though I lived in Norman for 6 years.
There was an all white QX CR7 at Conourse C in Denver yesterday. I was waiting for it to push so I could snap a photo of it, but I missed it because of a bathroom break. I didn't get the reg, but I would imagine it's probably one of the next ones to get painted.

Now I am pissed for taking a piss. Had I known that aircraft was in Horizon's system, I would have definately waited for the bathroom break.

Well, I am sure you will see 290RB again, as it has been with us for some time now, and it probably will be for a while longer...

290 is a fun plane to work...The galleys are a pain because there are a large, however unused, and deactivated ovens. It has two lavs which is really nice while conducting the service. Another difference is the blue "horizon air" carpet and big puffy blue seats! The aircraft also does not have the coffee makers that are found on most CRJ per the operators discretion. 290 has several coffee pots loaded in a closet, some have coffee in them, others have hot water for tea! Yeah...its an interesting set up and always makes a little fun for the FAs!

Supposedly, the owner actually wants it back now so it will be going away in the spring.

Agh, thanks for sturring up bad memories from my days in LAX with 424 and 425. I diversion to Victorville could have been well used. This, in my opinion, was one of the worst decision QX ever made buying those planes.

Hey, passengers love Skittles!!! Personally I'm a fan of the names Burning Meteor and Burnt Corndog.
I really like the idea of painting the four CRJs in the university paint jobs. Now if only they'd fix the cremesicle. Boise St. colors sure would look good on the side of it.

Sorry guys but after talking to a Mech today i asked him if the 06Jan return was true for this ship assuming it was there to become a College a/c, but he said this one (617) will be reg colors, and the next one will begin the change over into college colors! Didnt know we had 5 still in Jet Express colors!
