I figured I would start a thread about jetBlue's alliances and codeshares. The Cape Air alliance has expanded recently to include Rutland, VT but I've read that jetBlue was also interested in codesharing on the Florida routes (RSW-EYW being the one of those that makes most sense, as the others are TPA-SDQ and TPA-RSW) as well as some in Puerto Rico. The only problems are that Continental Connection already flies those routes and that there aren't as many routes going into RSW or SJU that BOS has. I think maybe if Cape Air expands in IND to include GYY, maybe B6 could fly some routes into IND that connect to those flights and then you'll have a second way to get into Chicago!
Meanwhile, last summer there was an announcement about AerLingus hooking up with jetBlue but nothing has come of it yet, but with Lufthansa's new deal maybe that won't come to fruition. Flyglobespan a long time ago was a very popular rumor (especially when they switched their NYC flights from EWR to JFK) but nothing came of that either.
I think that 2008 is going to be an interesting one when it comes to codeshares and alliances and I can't wait to see what happens. Happy new year!

This is an online partnership which will allow passengers to book seamless tickets from Ireland through to jetBlues US destinations and vice-versa. there has been long delays in getting it set up due to technical problems with their IT systems. EI announced though in early December that it was still going ahead and bookings will start in the first quarter of 2008. This is the first ever alliance of it's kind and it has cost very liitle to set up so lets hope we'll see it soon. It should be of benefit to both airlines.
I really don't think that the LH deal will affect it at all.
