dont know if this has been posted, i looked, so here it is.

just flew DL yesterday from ATL to MSY. on the route map in the SKy mag is shows BOS-MSY as a blue line indicating 'future service'

thank goodness. personally would have preferred AA coming back on that route, but ill take it.

good news for MSY

It is a Saturday-only seasonal CR7 service for a few months.

The flight operates with a CR9 every Saturday from 2/2 through 4/26 as it stands right now.

I saw this also in Sky. I wish it was a daily mainline service. I could handle going down to MSY for a couple of days now and then. I havn't been back since Katrina. Before that I loved that city. I even liked that it wasn't real safe always. The gritty parts keep you on your toes. I loved the food and any city that lets you drink from a plastic cup is A1. I also liked the history and aritecture. It is a real place, not some disney crap.

Only a matter of time until B6 steps in and makes the service daily year round. New Orleans is one of the last remaining major cities in the U.S. that Boston does not have service to.

We've been hearing that for about five years now.

Yep, just about five years. I'm at the point now where i'll believe it when I see it.

Ditto. For the record, I don't think it is outside the realm of possibility, but it's at the point where I just don't see it happening. If jetBlue wanted to enter the market, they already would have. It's not as if they have another reason - like a shortage of aircraft - stopping them for doing so.

Looks like, though, in addition to the Big Sky routes, Delta has ended Boston-Dayton, suspended Boston-Nashville, and won't resume summer Boston-Charlottetown service.

I think DL would go daily on the route with the CR9 before we see B6 enter the route. I hear advance bookings on the new DL service are pretty strong, so perhaps the service will be extended in the end. DL has the FF traffic on both ends, at the very least.

Just like for years you have been saying AA is going to end BOS-SAN and BOS-CDG but they keep on running.

That'd be a blessing... as would a second daily to SLC or LAX, either of which is sorely needed for anyone trying to make a relatively tight return to the West Coast from here on DL.
