This morning at 8:50AM (LT), an Atlas Blue B737-400 coming from Marakech (RAK) overran the Runway after landing at DOL (Deauville-StGatien / France). The aircraft involved in the incident is CN-RMX
All the 168 passengers were safely evacuated via the escape chute. The weather was very cold and icy this morning in a large North part of France.
The aircraft is severely damaged. Atlas Blue is 100% owned by Royal Air Maroc.

It doesn't look that bad from the pictures, but I can't imagine it flying off anytime too soon. If it did fly, I bet it was a ferry flight to have it checked out. One would be surprised how strong planes are.
We had a lav service truck run into the back of one of our ERJ 145's in RIC. The truck was totaled, but the EMB had a big dent (kind of reminded me of when my Nissan truck tangled with a Dodge Ram truck, my truck had to be towed to the junkyard, the other managed to drive off). As much as our mx guys could do to make it airworthy, it still had to be flown to BNA for major mx and repair work. I think it was gone for a good month before we got it back in service. It was one of our older ER's we flew in USX colors (might have been N802HK, but it's been a few years ago). Made me feel that much safer in an aircraft than a car.

Quoting LY777 (Reply 2): I read on crash-aerien.com that the a/c was not damaged and that it had already left DOL
A complete close safety inspection is required after such an incident and I would be surprised everything is already done. Morevover, investigators seem to think that the weather conditions are the main factor who caused the accident.
The plane was initially supposed to leave DOL to BES and back to RAK.
Another aircraft was chartered by the Tour Operator and sent to NTE to pick up the passengers who were taken there by bus from Deauville and Brest.
