Does anyone know how the XJET branded airline is doing? Are they expanding service? do you think they will last or is expressjet looking for new contracts to use those planes on? i'm applying for an FO position and would like to know if the ONT base is actually gonna be around when i start flying. i know the LAX/Delta contract is only going for another year or so. any insight would be appreciated. thanks!!!

I am personally a great fan of XE. I have flown them multiple times, mostly from MRY-ONT/SAN and back. I have found their service to be extremely friendly and much better than the service on OO and MQ service to and from LAX, with me being offered drinks and snacks multiple times on a one hour flight. Most importantly, the price of XE out of MRY to southern California is much lower than OO or MQ.
OO:$413.50
MQ:$413.00 XE:$60.00
I have greatly enjoyed my experiences on XE, but unfortunately the company has lost serious money in the past months. However, I do believe XE's business model can work, XE gained 10% in load factor from November to October, in the winter months when business usually slacks off somewhat, so I hope this upward trend continues and I hope XE can turn a profit in 2008!

For job information, jercareers would be an excellent choice. Everyone's very willing to chime in and give input. As far ass I know, the branded is doing okay. There have beeen some restructuring with the routes, but ONT is still going to be a base. When are you planning on applying?
