The Colgan/Pinnacle group is taking delivery today of their first Dash 8 Q400 today (07Jan). It is the first of fifteen Q400s planned for operating Continental Connection flights out of EWR. It is scheduled to be ferried from YYZ to BUF in order to clear customs, and then continue on to HEF (Manassas, VA - 9L Hdqs) either tonight or early tomorrow. I can't wait to see the Q in CO's colors. Any Comments?

Quoting Mu2 (Reply 5): Bringin' the bar down even more. Way to go Colan for working for crap wages.
If you are going to knock Colgan, you will have to knock all regional carriers, they all do it.
Or are you just mad that Piedmont has said they would be getting the Q for a while and never has, or are you mad that Piedmont is closing the SYR base, or are you mad Colgan is taking some of Piedmont's flying in the NE since your great company cannot seem to hire enough pilots and keep them?
You should really watch what you say about a company especially if you use them to jump seat on to get you to and from work. My friend that works for Colgan in the NE has told me how unprofessional some Piedmont FO's had been to him and his crew. One thing he really hates is when some of your FO's list for the jumpseat or just non rev in uniform and never introduce yourself to the flight crew and just walk in the plane and sit down in the back and never acknowledge the crew at all. Just shows how professional some Piedmont or any company can be, and all pilots should introduce themselves if they are in uniform or just say thanks to the crew who gives you a ride to and from work at the end of the flight. Why is it so hard to be nice to a fellow pilot? Just remember that pilot you snub today could very well be your captain some point down that road. I know when I have the time to apply to the regionals, if I decided to, I will go out of my way to be nice to any crew and when I run in to a rude pilot I will remember that and when and if that guy needs something down the road I could just say no. I find it funny how many pilots at one company hates other pilots at other companies. If you do not like Colgan then do not jumpseat or non rev on any of their flights. You seem like the type of guy who will also try to start a jumpseat war.
Get over who flies what and for who and just be professional to other pilots. Thats what you are a Professional Pilot.
