Hi Guys!

I was just recently on AM's website because I'm planning a trip to South America and I wanted to fly the MEX-EZE-MEX route that AM offers, however, everytime I check the flights, it keeps saying that this is a 1-stop flight? I also looked at AM's timetable and everything is showing that the flight is non-stop for the days that I'm Looking at (I be live is SAT and SUN) Can any of you insiders let me know how come this flight is showing as a 1-stop flight? Is AM changing this service for March 08? Will they be just tag-on to the SCL flight!?

Any info will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

One B767 is grounded for mx, runs have a stop at LIM and its flown with B738W. Don't know exactly when AM will resume normal service.

I just saw it again and it does say it's running on the 737 (didn't know it was a 738W so thanks).... well the connection time is now all wrong for my transfer to the MEX-LAS flight so I might have to re-think my strategy. But thanks for the info Ghost... you're a lifesaver!  Smile

BTW, what happened to the B767... too bad it's out of service... well at least I'll get to fly on an AM widebody on the MEX-SCL run so that'll be great... haven't flown a Mexican widebody in YEARS......

Best Regards,

Might be might be a B737-700W. With fleet commonality these days you can almost do everything.  Smile

Ordinal service checks... might be a Bravo, Coca or Delta check... it might take 20, 30, 40 days... AM will have a nice fleet soon more over with the ex. BRA B767-300 due for these days in order to re open FCO.

Great Info Ghost... Thanks... I only wish the B767 service would be back in March, I'd honestly hate to have to fly MEX-EZE or vice versa on one of their 37's... I know they're great aircraft, but I'd just rather fly a widebody...

Aeromexico's widebody fleet shortage has an impact on operations, again. On a positive note, you get to strecht your legs in Lima, maybe get a couple of souveniers

So, AM will have two 763ERs soon? This is news to me. And good news actually!

So what will the tally of the widebody fleet be? Is AM going to get one more 772ER?

Next flights: MEX-GRU (AM 77E), GRU-GIG (JJ A320), SDU-CGH (G3 73H), GRU-MEX (JJ A332).

Yeah this is great... and don't they have 5x772, 1x763 and 3x762? I think that's the tally, but I'll stand corrected if someone more informed knows... and hopefully with the coming of the second 763 and a possible 6th 772 that'll be 11 to 12 widebody frames for AM! Great Job!

AM during some days in March, (Easter Holidays) will serve EZE and SCL with 737 (sometimes 700 sometimes 800) in other to have the wide bodies available to high yield routes MAD, CDG, GRU, NRT and some runs to LAX and JFK. Also one 767 will be in MX.

Last October I flew MEX - EZE on 737-700 and EZE-MEX on a 737-800, both with refulling stop in LIM. On both flights debording the aircraft were not allowed. Refull, lavatory cleaning and catering were done with passengers on board. The aircrafts even were parked at a remote position. Front door was not even open nor jetbridge were conected to the plane. Everything were done thru the rear door. The crew made both flights.

The stop at LIM takes about 1 hour 20 minutes.

The flight on the 737-7 was a nightmare, I was on a middle seat, on my return flight 737-8 was not as bad, plane feels much conffy and I had a window seat, so I splept againstthe window during most of the flights.

On my return we also had another 737-7 parked next to ours, getting the same service, that's was AM flight 11 SCL-LIM-MEX.
