I did not know that Vanuatu had a separate airline. Looks nice though.

Separate from what?
Most Pacific nations have their own airlines; usually with some tie to a larger carrier and usually with strong government ownership. Pacific nations can't afford to have their airlinks severed at the whim of commercial carriers from other nations.

Quoting Planemanofnz (Reply 13): This is a new aircraft for Air Vanuatu too! Looking very good! What will happen to the 733 now?
I was under the impression that Pacific Blue were going to lease the aircraft so that they could launch Brisbane - Honiara - Brisbane services sometime later this year.
The new Air Vanuatu is extremely beautiful, nice to see some colour...

Quoting RobK (Reply 15): Isn't the 733 on lease from ILFC? I thought it was being traded in for the new 738 which is definitely being leased from ILFC.
Yes that is my understanding. I think NF have ordered two -800s, and the -300 will go after the second one arrives
It is not before time, as the current aircraft is tired inside and out.

Quoting Planemanofnz (Reply 19): Where will they fly two 737-800's? Vanuatu is limited with the numbe rof hotel rooms they currently have.
This is true, but there are two interesting points about this.
1. The Vanuatu government is moving to sell its stake in Air Vanuatu, and is looking to buyers such as Virgin Blue.
2. Air Vanuatu have turned down frequent requests for short term wet leases and charters from the like of Solomons and Air Niugini in the past year or so.

Air Vanuatu's new livery !!
Umm, wasn't Air Vanuatu renamed 'Our Airline'...
Forget I asked ...
Air Nauru has changed it's name to Our Airline hence this 2nd hand ex America West Boeing 737-300 has been purchased and re-branded in a new livery seen here for the first time. It's titles still masked over awaiting it's offical launch in the coming days!

When you talk about a nice livery design it's certainly the new Air Nauru scheme. But alas it will be spoiled from day one with a poor and cheap looking font type for 'Our Airline' while there are thousands of better font types to think about which could have matched better with this beautiful blue scheme.
25 RobK: She's due out at 11am (local) today to Honolulu ! R
26 ZKOJH: starting to like this one , anyone know where their 733 will go, WW perhaps??
27 AA1818: I can kinda see the similarity- except I prefer the Caribbean Airlines livery- i'm not biased!! hehe Fresh new look for Air Vanuatu! AA1818
28 Caribbean484: Its a nice livery but Its definately no Caribbean Airlines scheme.
