I flew CDG-SCL on Air France last month. My secretary had managed to get me and my partner row 23, I checked on Seat Guru and that was the first row on economy. I was pretty happy (though not incredibly tall I am 1.84 so I appreciate space a lot).

When I got on the plane, row 23 was not the first on economy, but the second!!! I was disappointed and the 14 hour long flight seemed longer.

Ok, my question. I noticed now on Seat Guru that there are 2 versions of the plane. And that depending on the version row 23 is either the first or second row on economy.

I am flying back to Paris tomorrow. I would like to know if there is a way to find out which version I am getting. I tried to change my seat but it only offers row 23 and up, not 22, but that was ALSO the case when I checked in for the flight coming here.

Comments? Suggestions?

Ask Air France to give you a seat in the first row. That might be the best and fastest solution.
