Fully copy of the item reads

Low cost airline, Clickair, will operate twice weekly flights to Lanzarote beginning in January 2008.

Flights will be on Wednesdays and Sundays with prices starting at 40 Euro each way.

The airline also announced that they will begin weekly flights between Barcelona and the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura in January

BCN & FV in the same flight: sounds like great times are to be had by those who stop to enjoy both places!

I really hope to see XG expanding their BCN-Canaries ops. There's definitely a market... and money to be made!  sun

Quoting Acelanzarote (Thread starter):
However looking at the clickair website there is no mention at this point for Lanzarote and Fuerteventura,

Clickair started the sale of these routes last month but they dropped the sale 48h later. Apparently, they took the option to expand in TFN and LPA (in order to have two daily flights some specific days) rather than in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. However, we could expect that they will resume the sale in the summer season.

The problem is aircrafts: will they be able to expand if they will just add 1 A320 during 2008 instead of 5 A320, as it was forecasted?

Cannot answer fro TFN, but clickair already fly twice daily (most days?) BCN-LPA replacing
the Iberia service that operated before.
If the don't start soon could see easyjet getting in the act if they open a new base at BCN once
the new terminal terminal opens...

maybe summer 2008 will see clickair start the routes, but if planes are in short supply what then?
