Don't think this has been posted before (i did a search and couldn't find anything)

Quote:
An In-N-Out is located on nearby Sepulveda Boulevard right next to the Parking Spot--a parking structure that conveniently provides free shuttle service. All you have to do is wait under the red "Hotel and Courtesy Shuttle" sign outside of any airport terminal, and when the yellow and black polka-dotted Parking Spot shuttle swings by, jump on board. It will take you literally next door to In-N-Out. Follow your nose through the back door, across the parking lot, and right inside where you need to order a double-double and fries to enjoy the best layover of your life.

just be sure to board the right polka-dot bus since there are a couple lots that are owned by the same firm with the same dotted buses.

nothing says Southern CA like In and Out! Nothing says heaven like eating In and Out under arriving aircraft! That In and Out is about as close to an aircraft as the public can get without a ticket!

The debate continues... Starwood or Hyatt... which is better

Hi!

Very good indeed!!! The BEST hamburgers I've ever had and everytime I go to Fresno surely I "crash by" the In-N-Out at River Park!!! Now this new option is fantastic...you simply leave LAX go and have a great In-N-Out double double cheeseburgers "animalized" or "animal style", and delight yourself with life!!! Isn't this In-N-OUT on the RN path of LAX??? If yes, then life is even BETTER!!! Next time I have a few hours of transit I'll use "that option"!!!
Regards

I've used this method of getting to In N Out numerous times. However, I've always tipped the driver just in case he got the idea that I didn't really have a car there. I hope Parking Spot doesn't get wind of this article because then they might start requiring ticket stubs or some proff of having a car there. Don't abuse this people, please!

Just remember this is not an official shuttle for In-n-Out but instead of for an adjacent business. So use some discretion and dont make it to obvious that one is free loading the ride. A $1 tip each way to the drivers could help smooth things over especially if they happen to see you twice.
Lastly, do not use their parking structure to spot from (esp top floor). Security will kindly ask you to leave.

Otherwise Enjoy!

Well technically the shuttle is for the Parking Spot, not for In-and-Out.

I like In-and-Out, but I still dont grasp what the big fuss is about. They dont even have mayo! I grew up in LA and ive been going there since I was little. I think Fatburger is much better!  Smile

I cant tell you how many times I have been to that In n out. I wonder how much "layover" airport buisness they could get if they had thier own shuttle. We could call it the double double shuttle shuttle.

If you want to spot someplace besides the In N Out, take the shuttle to the Embassy Suites - LAX South in El Segundo, then walk a few blocks west to the Imperial Hill.

You won't have the airplanes right overhead, but you'll be able to see the action on all four runways. If it's a clear day, you can even see the Hollywood sign, and downtown Los Angeles.

I like to go to jogging on Palos Verdes Penensula behind my Apartment and look out over LA. You can see all of LA (downtown, Hollywood, even Catalina Island!). Of course if its foggy you cant see five feet in front of you.

In addition to clear days we also have year round 70 degree weather, beaches for surfing, mountains for skiing, one of the best nightlifes worldwide, and an endless supply of Palm Trees!

Seriously, as an almost-lifelong-resident of L.A. and Southern California, I can attest that air quality has improved dramatically in my lifetime. All we need to do now is annex El Segundo and turn it into RWY 26.

In N Out burgers are very good, very nice and fresh, but you really haven't tried a good burger if you claim theirs is the best you've had.

In N Out has a great product. People love it for its simple menu, its limited choices, and its fresh product. However, this marketing scheme has people believing that, somehow, their product is "healthier" than other burgers, like McDonald's. Their advertising says "our product is fresh" but that doesn't mean that it's healthier. It's junk food, any way you slice it. Their fries are deep fried in oil, like all fries, although they are cut straight from potatoes. But people assume this is all good for you, which it isn't.
I will say it over and over, they have a great product and I'm a happy customer. However, I never believe that what I eat at In N Out is somehow "healthier" to eat than other fast food.
Back to topic, I have actually eaten at that restaurant and was amazed to watch all the activity at LAX almost within arm's length.

My upper 80's parents loved In and Out....they would never pass the one by in BFL on the drive from SBA to their cabin up in the mountains behind Porterville (PTV)....and these were folks who hated fast food generally. Patting down the french fries in a clean towel.....great shakes.....burgers just the way they wanted them-everytime......and great staff.

Dang...getting hungry and the closest In and Out is on the other side of the country...2200 miles away in TUS....dang....grin.

Yeah..even they call it the not so secret menu now....

Big problem with Parking Spot is that they are certainly only licensed to haul to/from their business...carrying anyone else would violate their agreement with the Airport, possibly their insurance, and infringe on other vendors such as cabs.....very technically. If the restaurant signed on with the parking folks and modifed that agreement then fine....but I don't see that happening...but they should!! Course the food vendors in the airport would then raise hell.

However...under the idea of letting sleeping dogs lie I would agree with the idea of be cool and tip the driver nicely....maybe even a burger on the way back??? grin

still hungry...sigh guess it's off to Char Hut
