BA's LGW 777 Operation

I've been researching the BA 777 operations out of LGW. I have a few questions if someone can help.
1. Is this a 777 flight crew base?
2. How many 777's are based in LGW? Timetable research appears to be 10.
3. How many are configured in the leisure coach class for the island and Tampa markets? G-VIIO and G-VIIP are frequent visitors to TPA.
4. Are the aircraft registrations available in a breakdown?
5. Are these aircraft ferried to LHR for heavy maintenance?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I believe that BA has a 777 maintenence facility at LGW. I also think that generally, the GE-90 equipped 777's are based at LGW as well. No fo sure though.

No all B777 pilots are based at LHR

10 today, but 3 move to LHR for summer 08

No, there is no B777 heavy maintemance at LHR. All B777 and B744 have heavy maintenance at Cardiff. All lower maint is carried out at LGW. The LGW 3 class aircraft never visit LHR. All LGW B777 have GE engines.

40J - Club World
24W - World Traveller Plus
216M - World Traveller

Todays flight is operated by G-VIIR

the BA 777'2 based at LGW are

G-VIIO/P/R/T in config 40J 24W 216Y
G-VIIA/B/C/D/E/F in config 14F 48J 40W 122Y

All are maintained at LGW but go to Cardiff for heavy maintenance checks.
Flight crew are LHR based. Cabin Crew are LGW based.
