Quoting Flying-Tiger (Reply 2): Slight correction: Air Pacific has firmed 3 B787-9 options, which would point towards a 20-21 frame B787 order. No guess at the moment who this could be...
Those orders were booked in 2007 and per the press release booked as Undisclosed so the number remains 23-24
SEATTLE, Jan. 14, 2008 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] and Air Pacific today announced that the Fiji-based airline has ordered three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners in addition to a 2006 order for five of the high-technology jetliners.
The airplanes were added to the Boeing Orders and Deliveries Web site in 2007, attributed to an unidentified customer.

Quoting Columba (Reply 1): I am hoping for LH !!! The number could be right for them and they have postponed their decision for around 2 years now. It is about time that they will announce their decision.
DIdn't they say that their decision would be towards the end of 2008 (or was that AF I can't remember!)

Well perhaps some of those 23-24 could be the Gulf Air order for 16 787-8 plus the one PrivatAir order. Well if the recent trends in the 787 program continues then Boeing can achieve 1000 sales by power on!!! A little joke there.
A little bit more color to this discussion:
Boeing added 2 more customers it seems as they had 53 787 customers at the end of 2007 and now it 55 so we can assume that the 23 or so planes we're talking about is for two new customers.
