G-VSUN operates in a J40/W28/Y187 config. The main differences from the rest of the A343 fleet are J2000 style Upper class seats and the classic non leather premium economy seats.

The rest of the fleet carry a J34/W35/Y171 configuration and have all been fitted with the upper class "suite" and new premium economy "super seat".

G-VSUN returned from lease to VK and was returned to service without being reconfigured. It generally operates to NBO every day except saturday when one of the other A343 operates the service.

So long 701, it was nice knowing you.

G-VSUN was formerly with Virgin Nigeria and is the only A340-300 without UCS and the new PE seats. This might have something to do with it or maybe it's just the scheduling.

According to notice we had at work, we put it on that route due to the low effect it would have on our premium passengers and wouldnt damage the name of VS that much, as it would for example if it operated the ORD or something. Passenger loads are generally low on the NBO route, I have been told we only fly it based on our cargo operations?? Don't know how true that is though. I am operating a flight to NBO the trip after next and so far has 16 people booked in Y, 11 in W and 4 in J.

Forgot to add too at one stage they were giving loads of frequent flyer miles out to pax effected in J by not having the suite but I think this was only for people who booked before the decision not to have the suite on this route was made and now there is a warning when you reserve
