It has been announced in local media that KLMUK are to pull out of their remaining routes from Jersey Channel islands to the UK this ends much speculation over the past two or three years. What is really sad is that it was fifty years in May since the formation of Jersey Airlines which was taken over in 1962 to become British United Airways (CI) & later renamed British United Island Airways, British Island Airways & finally merged with Air Anglia to become Air UK While Airlines such as British World Airways proudly celebrated the fiftieth annivesary of their founder companies KLMUK casts off what was once one of their most important bases with barely a backward glance. very sad
