Hello all,

I am wondering what is the story behind the black dot on Boeing 777-228ER (F-GSPZ) I noticed that it is only recent addition (from December 2007). Can we expect more of these on other planes? Is this an update for the livery or test? It does look rather nice!

EDIT: Here is a picture of what I am talking about:

That definitely looks like the radome of an AZ 777. If I'm not mistaken, some components/spare parts for that aircraft type are shared between the two companies, so it's entirely possible that AF maintenance mounted an AZ radome on F-GSPZ, similar to the mismatched cowlings and radomes frequently seen on other airlines that have different liveries in the fleet.

Looks like one of Alitalia's 777 nose cones. Perhaps just a temporary nose cone replacement for F-GSPZ

Can you say 'Beer Can' without sounding like a Jamaican saying 'Bacon'?

Hey all,

thanks for help! I should have thought of that.....oh well.  Smile I was hoping that we would see more of these dots.

Cheers,
Andrej
