I'm very impressed with the inflight entertainment BMI British Midland (as they're now calling themselves) are to offer. The seat back PTVs will offer, for all classes:
-10 TV channels
-10 film channels
-16 audio channels
-2 cameras showing what's going on outside the plane. One will be located in the nose (almost a pilot's eye veiw) and the second will be located 'in the belly'.
Business Class (which is said to be more like 1st class, minus the price) even has it's own chef onboard, and passengers will have free longe access in the United Kingdom, and United States. Also, business class passengers can enjoy the use of showers, a gym and even a swimming pool at Manchester airport.
The livery
There's been a slight change to the livery that was photographed at Tullouse. The Union Jack, although not in full colors, will be continued all the way up the tail.
Coming back to that photo, BMI British Midland were disapointed that photos of the new livery were veiwed by the public before the launch date.

Yes I'm sure that they were a bit disappointed, but BBC News this morning didn't look like they knew what it would look like so I suppose it wasn't that bad.
It's nice that you don't ignore my posts Englandair. Kudos to you.

He, he, he!
I showed my dad (who's not into planes) the new livery and he was shocked.
He said (and i quote) it was "crap" and do people really design such things?"!

The livery on the faked A330 photo that BD have on the new website, are altered from those on the A320 that was photographed.
The blue is the same shade on the fuselage and tail, and the union flag continues all the way up the tail. Looks ok.
Sorry, but i don't know how to bring the photo here, but you can see the A330 fake from BD's website if you go to 'trip reports' then 'British Midland International @ LHR'

I must say I am still disappointed in the livary, though the web site and other branding look quite good. I quickly came up with what I thought would improve the livary, I think it should be bolder. I think that leaves me with the same feeling that the new Delta Livary does, just not quite finished.
Now why don't they let us design their livaries,
Carolyn
