I thought AM already had dormant rights for MEX-DTW. They even had schedules for this route published in 2007.
Anyway, lets see if they finally start the route with a morning departure from MEX and an early evening departure from DTW to complement NW early evening departure from MEX and morning departure from DTW. It will attract more connecting passengers to NW flights...

I am becoming tired of getting exited with AM applications for new routes which never happen.
CUU-ABQ seems nice. It has been a while with no airlink between Mexico and its newest version (New Mexico). ZE had no luck in this route though (or at least not good luck enough to keep this flight for more than 8 months).

Quoting Mexicana767 (Reply 5): AM really needs to rethink is (also OAK-GDL, OAK-MLM) Mexicana is the dominate player in these markets and we need lower prices!!! (typical round trip SFO-GDL is at 660 coach!!!)
Do you really think AM will bring prices down? I think you need the airlines like Avolar to bring prices down.
