From 2nd July 2001, BRAL will introduce daily flights between NCL and Oslo using ERJ145 A/C. The flights will be 1hr 50mins long. This service takes over from the withdrawl of Braathens on the route.
More info can be found at www.newcastle-airport.co.uk

This is great news!! This service will definitly be a complete success. What do you guys think.

Yes this is great news!

There will be no problem to fill this plane. I used to travel frequently between Oslo and Newcastle from 1992-1996, and the Braathens B737 had a very good loadfactor these years. This new flight just continues the good tradition of direct flights between Oslo and Newcastle. (Others include Dan Air, Braathens....and now BRAL). BRAVO!

Oops, wasn't suppose to post the previous post before completing it. (Don't know what happened.)  Nuts

Anyway thats two good news for me today.
BRAL wil fly the route to OSL, (Wich means I could avoid those dreadful F50s from SVG-NCL this summer.)
And, not related to this topic, Danish Air Transport (DAT) have decided to start flying at my local airport with ATR 42s.

Oh, what a great day in aviation this is for me. Big grin

Have you heard about the scanair.net forum? It's a great Norwegian message board. You can find it at www.scanair.net

I hope that you will take part at that message board!

First of all, it's Thom@s, not Thom@as. (Sorry for beeing so picky.) Big grin

Secondly, I can't find the link to the message board, all I can find is the news (which says nothing about the DAT route I posted earlier.)

A little help please SGV?

Are you BU4--?  Smile

Seems like a nice site, BUT I don't think I'll register right now. I'm too busy doing stuff, and hardley have time to participate in the a.net forums nowadays. Perhaps later when I've got better time.
Otherwise, Thanks for inviting me.  Smile

Gkirk---sorry for posting unrelated posts in your topic.

But if the loads were so remarkably impressive, why did Braathens drop the service? Perhaps the reason is aircraft utilisation?

Lets hope the prices come down. £180 for an hours flight is stupid. But everything out of NCL is expensive, so ill just have to dream on!
