... but has a taker for all 8 frames - Deucalion Capital.
Quote: Boeing Co. (BA) Monday said Deucalion Capital has purchased eight 777 freighters, valued at $2 billion at list prices, for lease to AeroLogic, a new joint-venture airline formed by Lufthansa Cargo and DHL Express.
Boeing said the freighters were initially ordered by Avion Group of Iceland in 2005 and picked up by Deucalion after the order was cancelled.

So they've sold the orders to another lessor if effect?

Avion at the moment does not know if its coming or going. Air Atlanta stake has been sold, which has left Air Atlanta in a precarious state and has decided to ground its 747-200F fleet, with -400F for sublease - basically almost get out of the cargo ACMI business.
The 777F sale was indeed dumped at the end of 2007, with no clarity of what might or might not happen with the A330Fs. In an interview it was mentioned they were looking at placing the aircraft with other carriers on dry leases and not to Air Atlanta.

Sounds like the A-330Fs need to find a new home, too.
