What ever happened to the planned third daily AMS-JFK flight by KLM/NWA? The one that was panned to depart AMS around 8:30 or so in the morning. Wasn't there talk that these flight would be run by NWA using a 757? Just wondering what ever happened of this planned flight?

Weird, I can't seem to find it either. However, in the JFK-AMS market; DL is retiming it's JFK-AMS 763 to a 9pm departure, makes it great for connections at Amsterdam, though not so convenient if you want a day of business at AMS.

Quoting AF022 (Reply 5): KL really needs a morning departure AMSJFK; they cannot compete from Africa to JFK without it.
They will have a Newark departure in the 10am bank, then a JFK departure in the 1pm bank, then again Newark in the afternoon 3.30pm bank and finally another JFK in the 6pm evening bank. The proposed KL645/646 AMS JFK AMS third daily connection was to be scheduled in the 8am departure bank but after disappointing results with a five weekly AMS LAX flight last summer, that idea has been all but given up, although NW will continue to operate flights to DTW and BOS in that departure bank.
