Wikipedia Does It Again: SK To Start BGO-NRT?!?

We all know Wikipedia is not the most reliable source, but I have a hard time believing this for two reasons.

1. Have they already found another A340 for their SFO and DEL flights?

2. They would rather use slots at Narita for an ARN-NRT flight, which may take a few years before SK is able to. Otherwise NH may have a go at ARN.

It's true, albeit the flight is for a very short time during the summer.

SK 995 goes NRT-BGO on Saturdays during the summer. There is no BGO-NRT however.

SAS to launch direct routes to New Delhi and San Francisco

Next year, SAS will expand its fleet of aircraft with an additional Airbus A340, thereby making it possible to launch two new intercontinental routes. In autumn 2008, New Delhi in India and San Francisco in the US will be introduced to the traffic program.

Doesn't say where they'll get the jet from.

Here is the press release -Sorry, Japanese only!

http://www.sasgroup.co.jp/news/news.jsp?typ=look&id=1219

This release was issued on 15Jan on SAS Japan website. The document says that SAS will operate NRT to BGO flight on every Saturday from 12Jul thru 09Aug with A340-300.

The release also says that this flight is made possible by the strong support from Japanese major travel agencies -JTB, NTA, Hankyu, etc... I think this is the reason why SAS posted this only on their Japanse website.

The NRT-BGO route is a special route during the summer. Instead of flying NRT-CPH, the saturday flight will go NRT-BGO

AFAIK, no aircraft has been secured yet
