Quoting WepaMan (Thread starter): I spoke with a B6 Pilot on Friday, and according to him,,, MCO is the New A320 Flight Crew base.. Also they are moving to the 90's gates (next to Delta) from the 100's...???
Is the gate change for logistical, space, or other issues? Is it related to the new crew base?

In addition to MCO being a Virtual Base for Pilots, OAK was also announced as a virtual base for PILOTS as well. (no FA virtual bases exist, or are planned for the near future) MCO is a true crew base for Flight Attendants

AirTran currently operates out of the 90s and use those gates pretty heavily so I can't see B6 moving there.
Delta also uses the 70s pretty well, so there's no room there.
There are a couple of gates open at the 80s (still surprised that the late 90s DL style gate backdrop is still up there, with the Delta moniker removed). Still, at peak times in the afternoon there's the BA 777, a few VS 744s and maybe an AM 737 all at those gates. Doubt B6 moves into Airside 4 though.
Wouldn't be shocked if the expansion of Airside 2 happens sooner than later though - between B6 and WN that airside is bustling (even with FL moving out).
They will need a International Gate due to Colombia, Mexico and Dominican Republic's flights. Also do not forget LH buying 19% of B6's stocks, they also fly to MCO and JFK... I won't be surprise if a codeshare comes out of all this..
