If it's NATO, then absolutely...so long as we're not using tactics they're not supposed to know about.

Would NATO go corporate? Unless other aircraft are tied up elsewhere, or its cheaper to charter a 767.

Flightaware shows the company as: British Overseas Territories which also has a G100 flying out of Fort Lauderdale Executive currently.

Back in November this 767 did this trip: BOS-LAN-EWR-Cairo

And the final answer to the who question is:

British Overseas Territories

That's where it's registered ---- Bermuda VP-Bxx.

http://www.dca.gov.bm/genericPages/5/5_2.php

You could pay a lot less tax... lots of business jets

3.3.4 - It may be noted that, at the date of this General Information Brief, there is no requirement when registering an aircraft in Bermuda to obtain a Bermuda importation licence. There are no Bermuda income or profits taxes, withholding tax, capital gains tax, capital transfer tax, estate duty or inheritance tax payable by a Bermuda company or its shareholders, other than those shareholders ordinarily resident in Bermuda. Details of the fees, charges and stamp duties relating to a Bermuda Exempted Company should be obtained from a Bermuda law firm.

And there are other reasons for airliners to be registered there (e.g.,presumably, Aeroflot's or Siberian's Boeings and Airbuses)

5.2.3 - Aircraft may be registered in Bermuda, under a suitable agreement, and may be commercially operated by an airline in another State. This is particularly attractive to aircraft owners and leasing companies that have found customers in countries where they are reluctant to register their asset because of legal or financial uncertainty or political unrest.

The aircraft is operated by Mid East Jet a VIP charter operator based in Jeddah.

They operate a number of BBJs, B757, B767 & B777 VIP charter aircraft.
Their aircraft are regular visitors to LTN, STN etc.

Presumably, in this instance, the aircraft has been chartered to fly from STN to Nellis.

Looking in a bit more detail at VP-BKS' previous flights, I would guess it is chartered on occassion by the RSAF.

It was seen at a military air base in Riyadh in 2007 and operated into RAF Lossiemouth in September 2007 at the same time as the RSAF Tornado deployment there.

My guess is that it is travelling to Nellis on RSAF business in conjunction with their deployment on Red Flag 3/08.

Is it just me, or does that flight path look like Nellis was not their originally intended destination? It looks like they were headed for California, but diverted over northern Nevada. Weird.
