I'm trying to book a flight LON-DXB in late March. On my dates of travel VS direct is over 30% more expensive than others.
Cheapest is Qatar Airways, via DOH. Not a problem.
QR list Virgin Atlantic Flying Club as a partner for miles, however:
- Flights between London and Dubai are not eligible for mileage accrual
My question, which VS Flying Club reps didn't have an answer for is can I earn miles for the LON-DOH leg, or is it declared void because it is flow as part of a DXB route?
Additionally the confusing part for me is that QR list VS as a partner, however VS do not list QR?
Yeah I flew DXB-IAD last year in VS and the DXB-LHR were not counted in the points. I guess because passengers will have to fly QR to get from DOH-LHR, instead of choosing VS for the points. That sector DXB-LHR does not count in the points.
