An interesting PARADOX!

Yes how is it doing? It seems to be expanding fast into the US markets with it's snazzy 777s and whatnots.

It;'s making relatively healthy profits and is looking good. However that can't be said for itslivery.

So how is it doing?

Anyone can fly, only the best Soar.

I would say they have one of the best schemes on the 752 and 772 !. How can you say that. At least they have some colour on the body.

According to their Australian manager, the forward loadings on the Melbourne & Sydney flights are very healthy!

I think they are doing pretty good compared to other Mainland China based airlines. All China southern, China Eastern and Air China are doing pretty good. I would say they are the best three airlines in China. They are now all expanding their fleets and networks all over the world. They will the tomorrow stars in the int'l air travel mkt.

I agree with Red Panda. In the 21 century China will be in the top three, or #1, of the world super powers in all fields ;military, economical, political... Such a country would be in need of a very strong aviation. Now they have a very strong civil aviation as well. and look at their airlines: 747s, 777s, A340s... Not every airline can allow itself to buy such nice airplanes. But may be it's normal. I mean all of the chinese flights must be as minimum 70% full. China's population is 1billion 200 millions people don't forget!!!
China desrves to be the #1 power. Nice people and they love working.

You know, if Airbus was to offer a Combi version of the A380, I think Air China, China Southern, and China Eastern will buy them in LARGE numbers.  Smile

After all, Air China does a lot of air freight business using their 747-400 Combis.
