Asiana and Korean air will expand north America appearance from this summer.
LAX: from 12 weeklies to 2 daily from May 22. OZ201/202 with 747/74M and OZ203/204 with 772ER
JFK: from 4 weeklies to 1 daily from Aug 23. Existing 4/w with 747 and new 3/w with 772ER
Also Asiana is upgrading its 747s, currently new one (suite F, angled lie flat C, and AVOD on all classes) runs 3 out of 4/w ICN-JFK-ICN. By July, all 747s are expected to be upgraded. Angled lie flat C seats are already installed on all 772ERs. Also OZ may start CDG from March 31, 3 weeklies with 772ER. Not confirmed yet, though.
SFO: from June 1, 4->5 weeklies, from June 30, 1 daily. New config 772ER is running already.
DFW: from July 1, 3->4 weeklies, new config 772ER from July. (also new config is running now until late March)
LAS: 1 additional weekly flight on Monday during summer season.
ORD: expecting old config from June to August, since 744 will run on this season instead of 772ER.
(There will come more summer season flights.)
There's a very strong rumor that KE will restart GRU via LAX from March 31, 3 weeklies with 772ER. Also not confirmed yet.

I am disapppinted that OZ is not increasing their service into SFO. They have been stuck on 4 flights per week for the past few years. Being in the Star alliance, I figure they could get domestic traffic from UA. They offer just as a good product as UA and SQ.

Glad to see the Asiana increase in service. The upgrades of the 747's could not come sooner as that seems to be the only negative from flyers on the carrier. Having flown recently in the old and new C seats on Asiana, they are really a fantastic product and the service is fantastic. If OZ could just add some more consistent frequencies then that would be a big plus.
I was really worried the 747 seats would be bad, but they were fine and the attentive and attention to detail from a service standpoint along with the *A lounge at LAX more than made up for the concern on the 747 C seats. I flew onto SYD on a 777 with the new C seats and it was perfect.
However, the lounge at ICN in the evening is so busy don't plan on taking a shower unless you go to the transit hotel and take one.

Agreed. I'd think OZ could do daily. I am also curious why they don't move back to the evening flight and let there *A partner UA operate the morning service against KE. This would give passengers more flex on departures time.
