To me the nicest looing aircraft are the MD-11, A340, A330 and B747-400. I just love the winglets on these aircraft. The worst looking aircraft must definitely be a boring B737-400. Everything in it is ungracefull. The B767 is another boring aircraft.
This is my view. What is yours?

You want dull and ugly look at the A32X planes, The A319/18 Look like they were breached birth, in that they were not given enough time to develope into full size planes. The 320 is ok., but again their is nothing special about it..it't just looks like a generic airplane that a 5 year old draws. And the A321 is probably the ugliest of them all, especially the ones with only a singl bogie main wheal. It's wings are too small for the size of airplane, and over all I think they look bad.... The A330 (with RR engines), 777 (all versions), and 747-400 are in my opinion the best looking....Oh yeah and I love the An124/225 those are awsome.

Pretty and ugly are in the eye of the beholder. One could argue that the Airbus Super Transporter is - well - aesthetically challenged in the proportions department, but there is no other plane that can accomplish the task for which it was designed. Some of the Russian helicopters, too, are lacking in good looks, but examples are being snapped up by operators worldwide for a huge variety of tasks their Western counterparts are ill suited.

As for the 767, I know others in this thread disagree, but I love the plane, especially the -300.

Ugliest would be A300 and A310. The 767 series isn't the pretiest, but its great foir functionality.

Favorites:

The ugliest plane as for me is MD 90 80 and all the rest of the family. They look ugly and their look reminds me of this donkey from "Winnie the Pooh" cartoon. The ATL 98 Carvair designer must have had a sick imagination.
DC8 is not nice it looks messy. B747 SP is awkward and unproportional. Once you see the 747-200 or 400 you will hate the SP. 737-200 is ruins your good mood for the trip once you will know that you have to fly in it.
The best looking are:

Yes Virginia, there are UGLY airplanes...

There are at least three:
1. The Shorts Skyvan - the maintenance crew accidently put the wings on the shipping crate that it came in.

2. The Beech 1900D - What were the engineers smoking? They couldn't hang any more appendages on the tail if they tried.

3. The Hansa Jet - Thank goodness they've been out of production for a long, long time.

Definetly 747s look extremely graceful, A340s are gorgeous. 757s especially the -300, MD11s/dc10s look really good, BAe 146s/RJ 85s look good too, and I kinda like the A330s. I really dont think you can call any airplanes ugly, except for the old Russian jets.
