Charge For UA's Y+ Within 24 Hours Of Departure?

Pretty simple question: I'm going to be flying UA tomorrow, and as I'm looking to assign seats, I notice that a lot of the Y+ cabin is shown as "available" on UA's website as opposed to "Economy Plus". Does this mean that there won't be any extra charge for those seats?

Well it was the same for me last month and we got to upgrade ORD to SAN for about $40 which was really cool. It's a good way for them to make money since apparently you can't just buy those seats in the beginning. It was a really nice thing to have, extra leg room except that didn't help with the very large woman sitting next to us, but the leg room was still nice, but i think the price has to do with the distance because CHS-ORD was about $23

No. There will still be a charge. They also won't let you move from your seat to an Y+ seat in-flight.

Unless Y- is full, there will be a charge. If you OLCI or Kiosk check-in you will likely be offered an upgrade to Y+.

Funny that it wouldn't show up as Economy Plus on the website. This is a Ted flight, so might that make a difference?
