Talk about nice surprises... looking out my office window (in Windsor) I'm sure I just saw an SQ A380 on approach into LHR... BAA arrivals info shows:
Thu 14 February 2008
15:05 SQ308 SINGAPORE EXPECTED 1443 Terminal three
so if it was the A380 it was half an hour ahead of it's expected arrival. I assume this is some sort of proving visit to check facilities for turnaround or something? Services aren't due to start until March 18th, are they?
First time I've seen the A380.. wow. Big, isn't it? And a lot quieter than the 747s that usually pass this way!

... and right on cue, an SQ 747 has just gone past. So you're right, SQ308 was indeed a 747 this afternoon. The plane I saw earlier was definitely in SQ colours, though. Hopefully somebody who works at LHR can tell us what's going on!
Interesting searching ACARS though... if you do a 30 day search for 9V-SK%, SIN/SYD was always SKA from 16/1 to 23/1 and shows SKB ever since then. Where is 9V-SKA?
