I flew on JetBlue from Stewart-Newburgh Airport (SWF) this past week. On departure and arrival we taxiied past the cargo area where FedEx and DHL park. Just around the corner there is an unmarked 747 (-100 or -200), all white, missing 1 or 2 engines.

Does anyone have any info on the plane and what it's doing at SWF?

The 747-200 is an ex-Air France and is still registered as F-GCBA. The current owner of the aircraft is Southern Air Cargo who uses it to test new engines.

I had a chance to walk around it back in September and it certainly isn't getting much use. I wish they would put it back into commercial service, although she isn't in great shape.

It's used by maintenance for testing engines (and I believe occasionally stealing parts). Southern Air owns a number of spare engines stored by the HQ in Norwalk, CT.

ATA - an honestly different airline.
