MSN 006, future 9V-SKC and the third SQ A380 made it finally back into the sky yesterday after being "grounded" in XFW since almost 1 year and 3 months (arrival in XFW on November 24th 2006).

Pictures of the first test flight after arrival in XFW can be seen here: http://www.aviation-community.de/forum-nord/viewtopic.php?t=4073

and even a video should you prefer this: http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=SbQZZddBH0c

In the background you can see already MSN 008, future 9V-SKD and the fourth SQ A380 which is painted (almost complete, one door is still green?): http://www.aviation-community.de/forum-nord/viewtopic.php?t=4059

Delivery of MSN 006 is expected in March and of MSN 008 something between April and July. Should I say the year? No, these times are over!

Why was it grounded in the first place?

For fitting the interior I believe.
Looks like its a matter of weeks before the A380 starts its regular LHR service.  Smile

No, that was not what took so long. Electrical harness reinstallation was the reason.
Where have you been the last two years?  Wink
