Hello I live in Southeast Iowa, and we have two Air carriers here TWE(corporate Airlines) And United Express(Greatlakes Airlines) We just heard word that UE is pulling out of here as of Feb 15th so that will just leave us with TWE, but when this merger Starts what will happen? will TWE go to American Eagle and serve here? We had AE here once before and they also pulled out due to lack of Passengers. so what do you think will happen? will our airport be without an Airline? by the way the aircraft types are TWE J31 UE Beech 1900Ds
any feed back on this will help

Well lets start with which airport your reffering too ehh?
Would it be, Waterloo? Cedar Rapids? Burlington? Probably Burlington, because I think Burlington is a Corporate city, so why don't you get back to us, when your ready to tell us which airport we should start discussing. Thanks.

Cedar Rapids is a mainline United City, and Waterloo gets the Brasilias into ORD... Mesaba/NW Airlink is also in ALO as well.
Also, he wasn't really asking about the future of air service at Burlington, nudged in a wierd triangle of equidistant airports (Quad Cities, Peoria, Quincy, IL)... he was asking about if the big bAAd wolf was gonna take over TWE or not...
From what i hear - AMR will offer all vendors a short term contract (ie- less than 5 years). AMR likes to have full control of it's feeders and their systems, which a codeshare agreement will not satisfy. The only option is for AMR to purchase T States, Chautauqua, and Corporate or bring in the AE jungle jets. and some find it highly unlikely that Chautauqua and Corporate will sell.
