Hey i'm flying to Hong Kong on Saturday night... i should have been going with my boyfriend but he dumped me meaning that i need to find someone else to go with me and change the ticket or go on my own...

Do Cathay pacific charge for making changes?? Can i change the name on the ticket? Or will he have to call them and do it himself seeing as he made the booking?

Quick replies would help!

Thanks

You can't change a name on a ticket. No IATA airlines allow for that. The best you can do is get a refund (if the fare allows)

Nothing seems as good since the VC10.

Unless you asked for it to be flex I very much doubt you will get a full refund from Expedia!

Maybe tax's but that will be about it im afraid.

See how much it would cost to change dates and go by yourself! I'm roughly doing the same thing myself in 2 weeks.

Why are you so worried about his refund??? I say, who needs him the guys a jerk its his loss...How cool are you to post on airliners.net, love to travel (I guess) going to HKG my favorite city in the world! I wish I was available, I'd show you around, but my wife would not approve, that is if she found out...

Anyway two thumbs up to you and enjoy yourself and forget about that loser!

Not so sure about that. If he was the lead pax then I guess payment was made with his CC, expedia may only talk to him. Another thing to consider is the carriers terms and conditions, some carriers (SQ for certain) insist that the person paying for the flight, if not travelling, signs a disclaimer that the pax travelling is entitled to do so at the payee's expense.

Whatever happens have a nice trip!

I hope you're enjoying HKG -- it's certainly an interesting city, although I usually have had enough after two days Big grin

I'm tired of the A vs. B sniping. Neither make planes that shed wings randomly!
