Anybody know why there is a UA 777 at PDX right now? I first saw it last night at the south end of the airport near FedEx ramp. It was towed over to E5 this morning where it sat all day. Reg is N776UA. It's new paint. Any idea where it came from or where it's going? Or how long it'll be here?

It was in PDX for painting. It was suppose to ferry out this morning. The contract paint company forgot to paint some part on all the passenger doors red. So we made them come over to the gate and do it. I didn't check where it was going.

Based on a quick check of flightaware, I think it's still at PDX.

So my eye's weren't deceiving me when I saw somebody on a scissor lift at the door just aft of the wing with red paint. Good to know. It was pretty awesome watching it come out of the fog this morning as it was being towed across the south runway. Thanks.
