How are the connections at LAX on DL (Expressjet)? I will be flying from Loreto, Mexico to Las Vegas via LAX on March 02. I don't believe they do US preclearance there so how is the waiting time for immigration upon arrival at LA? I have about 1 1/2 hours to make the connection. The booking shows arrival and departure through Terminal 5.

The customs can be very quick, but lately we have been having some difficulty with CBP not having enough officers when flights begin to arrive. That is hit or miss. Yesterday when I came in from CUL there was only one CBP officer.
I am assuming you are getting to LAX at about 4:15-4:55. There are a couple of factors that can change the connection time dramatically. If your flight arrives ahead of DL's PVR flight and AM flights from BJX and MEX, you should be okay. Otherwise it is a long line down there. Also, DL usually staffs two ticket agents in the Customs area to assist in checking documents, etc. If they are aware that you are a tight connection they will help you to the front. A lot of the people have very long connection times waiting on red-eyes to the east coast. SO..... if you get stuck and feel like you are running out of time, or your flight from LTO is running late, don't hesitate to ask for a jump in the line. Good luck!!!!
