Hi Everyone, First up - let me appologies if this has already a been posted - a quick search couldn't find it. Does anyone know the roleout schedule for the new united business class? I know that it has been roled out on routes to Germany but when are we going to get it here in the UK?

It was discussed here recently but I cannot find it.
I believe a 777 and 747 are currently being reconfigured with the new seats etc, but when they are rolling out I have no idea. I think its a gimme that the 747 will be used across the pacific as opposed to FRA out of IAD.
What concerns me is that when the new DEN-LHR route opens in March, Two of the three daily 777's are going to 767's and as someone who tends to fly UA in F on that route quite a lot, I sure as hell don't want to be in the old F seats on the 767's as opposed to the Suites. That first 777 out of LHR in the morning is going to be popular!

Which O&D are you referring to? IAD or ORD from LHR?

A good friend of mine hinted that the first B747 will be available on the 27MAR from IAD to FRA. Now weather this happens or not will depends on how fast those MX guys/gals install the cabin....

LHR to ORD have had increased RASM lately (or at least they said so on the last earnings call). Perhaps they are anticipating a downturn with open skys

You are correct. It's on united.com already. But yes, will it be ready?

On United.com it shows the last day of all 777 out of ORD is 03/28/08. Truly a shame. I wouln't want to be sitting in the old first class on the 763. The flight that will be using the 763 is 928/949.

744 is all ready being converted.
The 2nd 767-300 (Star Alliance plane) has re-joined the fleet on IAD-ZRH, so now we have IAD-FRA and IAD-ZRH, every 6 days one will goto SFO on Flt 937 and come back the next day on F914.
Looking forward to seeing the new 744, not looking forward to the additional passengers. 347 paxs to 374 paxs.

Why is FRA, getting the new seats all the time and not LHR, I know the flight attendants in London have done the training but god knows when I will ever see and aircraft with the Neew F & J seat at this rate. Rant over!!

A United flight attendant, who regularly flies the newly reconfigured aircraft 767, suggested that United wanted to make the new seats available at each of its hubs ASAP. That means, in her opinion, that the next aircraft would go either to Chicago (747?), then SFO (777?).

The 767 substitutions are to allow 777's to be routed into refurb. I think you'll see the 777's back in Summer.

Looks like I'll be on UA888 from Beijing at the end of April. Right now the UA web site shows it as being the old configuration 747-400. Any chance that could change?

Apollo still shows two B777's on both UA944 and UA940

It looks very nice and I am glad to see that the seats are not leather. I realize that the leather lasts longer, is easier to clean and it gives the perception of luxury, but I find it is very hot after a couple of hours. Although with cloth seats that people will be sleeping in you do have to account for the drool factor, which would not be much of an issue with leather.
By the way do most other airlines use cloth seats on their newly re-vamped first/business class seats?

I think PEK PVG and ORD - HKG will be the last ones that they transition. They are always full in C (and never open to upgrade so I assume paid business) so I am sure they will try to keep the old configuration on those as long as possible. The new configuration cuts the C cabin down to 52 seats from 73.

Well considering UA doesn't fly its 763s anywhere except between its hubs and spokes, that shouldn't be hard!
