Why did LH 742 D-ABYS once carry Interflug titles before it was converted to freighter in 1995? For a movie? And if so, why was the aircraft left in LH colours otherwise?

I do not remember DABYS had an Interflug livery, or what do mean?

Me neither, are there any pictures of it?

Since IF had been bankrupt for a good few year even in 1995, I suppose it must have been for a movie, since there certainly never were any plans to use the rather infamous name of the GDR airline for a LH daughter airline.

I believe it was a 747 used for the shoot-out scene at the aircraft boneyard in the movie "Terminal Velocity".

Yes, it was for a movie with Charlie Sheen & James Gandolfini.

James Gandolfini played a Ex Russian KGB agent turn Russian Mobster. It was called Terminal Velocity.

I only know that D-ABYS was sold to Atlas Air in 9.1994 and carried large Interflug titles before it was converted. I do not have a picture to send, but I´ve seen a picture of it with traces of this large sticker (as long as the distance between door no.1 and 3, so much larger than LH titles)

There is one problem with airbus. Though their products are engineering marvels they lack passion, completely.

Its rare.

For the craziest rare things there is someone buying it. 20 bucks for this rare slide seems ok when there are nuts out there paying thousands for damaged Teddys manufactured during the German Empire.
