About a week or so ago, the second prototype An-70 prop-fan crashed.
The first had crashed in 1995, and this one, originally a static
fuselage, was made into a new one. Too bad - it's a unique aircraft

Yeah, this topic was discussed the day the crash occured.
Indeed a sad story. But the technicians yelled that aerodynamics of An-70 were so successful that it didn't explode after it hit the ground. Two of four engines failed on take-off. No casualties, only minor injuries.
