I love the MD-11 but y not the 747?

It like AA fleet the go for the small planes more flight with them. It all goes back to how the airline thinks is better to operate.
the MD11 were something to replace the L1011.

DL is too scared to fly the 747, they don't think that they can make as much money off of them as with the 777. It's a dum idea, there is enough demand in many of DL's domestic and int'l markets to profitably operate a 747. They offer flights between cities with 2 a/c within 15mins of each other routinely.

Delta Airlines is best with the 777 & 767 for their routes as when the MD11 retires, and 747 is no needs anymore for the 3 major carriers, AA, CO, DL.

I know NW, UA have 744s because they have large number of flights to Asia, Europe.

UA played a role in the 777 program, 1st carrier with 50 Boeing 777s. UAL just retired their last DC10 jet after a final DC10 flight. So UAL is now on 744s, and 777s.

About NW, I dont know what they'll do, they may or may not order any 777s.

I thinks that MD11 will be gone, 777 will take the good point off the MD11.

I think Im keeping the MD11s / DC10s out of the skies right now.


What do you all think of that......??

Tri-Jets could make a return if they can perform and be more profitable than what is flying now. You never know what will happen. In my opinion Boeing or Airbus will come out with another one down the road.
