Sorry for asking a stupid question but is Olympic Airlines part of any of the major airline alliances?

Yep but will open with the same logo the next day with smaller fleet and smaller routes . Olympic will still be around but in a different form.

Still it wont be the mega success story of Albanian Airlines  Wink

Well i think Olympic is leading by example  Big grin

On the other hand as i can see from your comments you are a bit too much biased towards OA, I want to state that LV never received any government funding the same way that OA has had for almost a decade.

Anyhow i do not want this discussion to deteriorate any further as i do not care for any of them.  bigthumbsup

Walk into Athens, and you will hear the same!

Although since this thread is about IF OA is in any part of the alliances the answer is no unless they are going to start a whole new one called the Icarus Alliance!  Silly

Where do you get these theories from? Please tell me you dont REALLY believe all the bull they say on the Greek news! How many times have they said this will happens? I count at least 5 in the last decade! It will never change, they wont let it.

And about the logo and the name... no Olympic wont be around if it closes. Its not allowed to have the same name or logo.
I love and have lived Olympic just as much as you have, believe me. But i think its better for it to close FOR GOOD, because this is not the Olympic we all remember. Either find a way to make it a successfull profitable airline, or close it for good, and let all those money sucking "mavronixides" to drown in the &^%* they created.
