Hey All yesterday the 27th when I was in DFW I saw a an ATA DC-10. She was parked in a remote parking across from the USair gates. She is in full NWA colors with ATA on the Tail and on the Side. I don't know if she is still there but I thought I would give you all a heads up. She looked very sexy. I couldn't get a tail number.

ATA normally parks there L1011, DC-10, 757 and 737 in DFW to do Maint on them. They have moved a lot of their maint to DFW. There are days that you will see 4 ATA widebodys sitting on the 5E ramp.

I didn't know ATA had DC-10's. First I've heard of that.

ATA received its first DC-10 in June of 2007. N701TZ as well as her sisterships N702TZ, N705TZ, and N706TZ are all based in DFW.
The above are the four planes in their current schemes. If you thought you saw red, then I am not sure which tail you saw. It might be one of the birds we sent to World, heading out for her bridge check. It also could be "N707TZ" or "N708TZ" which are two DC-10s that ATA owns but which are not in 'flyable' condition and are being used for spare parts.
