Aviastar-SP Plans to Produce Highly Upgraded Tu-204 Airplanes

GIST.

Beginning with airplane number 054, the aircraft will have two-member English cockpits, a new auxiliary power unit, the newest digital-controlled pressure and air conditioning system, improved performance and lower operating costs. Il-96 and Tu-204 cockpits are to be unified in the near future. The Russian-language version of the cockpit will be used only on short-range airplanes manufactured for domestic-only Russian airlines.

AH yes...the GOOD ol' TU-204! Russia's answer to the Boeing 757! Still, I don't expect ANY western success!

Could you elaborate more? I'm just curious. I've heard good things about the plane.

What about as a freighter. Do Atlantic Airlines still operate a couple for TNT?

Shame the Tu-204 does not have the range of a B757

Seems it must have a similar range! E3 operates it on the VKO-VVO run, which is around 4000 miles (not NM!).
