I wondered this myself with the imminent start up of all the other LCCs in Vietnam I would have thought that QF/JQ would be rather in a hurry.
Although I assume they are taking their time to ensure the pacific porducts are up to scratch before they cut over to jetstar, does anyone have any idea if they are scheduled to get any A320 anytime soon if they have been ordered at all?.
Cheers Smi

Well it's most certainly not up to scratch at the moment. I flew with them HAN-SGN in November on a 734 that was on it it's last legs, poor cabin service etc. I don't rate JQ highly at all and avoid where possible, but BL makes JQ look like a private jet in comparison.

Being more objective, Vietnam is booming and I think QF have done very well to get into the market relatively early. JQ will do well when they get in there with newish A320s/A321s etc and if they can get on-time performance up there, they will thrash the pantd off VN who are awful in that respect.

How good is it?

What's stopping Valuair from being rebranded as Jetstar Asia? It has been more than 2 years now.
