Reading the local forum at pprune, there are few rumors about the profit share. But many seem to agree that 16.5 days and $6000. Does 16.5 (working ) days = 1.5 months. It would make sense, but I am not sure and that's why I ask.

there's a formula to calculate CX profit share. It was calculated that 16.5 days + (HK$6000 or half months salary whichever is lower). However because of the exceptional performance, the management decided to increase it to 1 months salary + the $6000/half salary just for this year.

Thanks for the explanation. So formula counted 16.5 working days towards the bonus. Nevertheless its good to hear that the management gave you guys (pilots, agents, flight attendants and other crew) good bonus. After all happy employees preform better than unhappy ones.
