I hope my co-workers are recovering alright in CLE. The airport was virtually shutdown last night due to ice pellets and freezing rain. I don't give a hoot what anybody says, this has been a hard winter and I'm ready for spring.
The weather all along the east and west coast is forecast to be turbulent today so if you have to fly, cinch the seat belt down because from the looks of it, there just will be no way to route everything around it.

It was a challenge. Nothing left, virtually, after about 1730 local, as the airport was closed for departures around that time. A few arrivals came in, but as far as I can tell, nothing left after that time. We got a good 2-3 inches of ice at the airport, and it was next to impossible for the ops to continue. Around 8pm, CO cancelled the remainder of the schedule in/out of CLE for the rest of the night.
We had taken care of all those stranded in CLE that night by about 10pm, but ran out of hotel rooms for probably the last 300 or so customers who had to be rebooked for today.
Just another day in paradise. Second tuesday in a row where the Ops was all but shut down due to Mother Nature.
