I was look at the U2 route map today and noticed a few new routes that haven't been announced on the English news page. All of them start this summer.

Berlin - Crete, Ibiza, Palma, Pisa, Thessaloniki
Geneva - Ajaccio, Asturias, Cagliari, Ibiza, Nantes, Naples, Olbia, Palma, Split
Milan - Brussels, Ibiza, Mykonos, Palma

Interesting to see some joining of the dots of ex GT destinations, namely Nantes and Mykonos.

Does this mean we will see extra A319s based at SXF, GVA and MXP or are other services facing the chop?

Next flights: LGW-LBA-LGW, LHR-SIN-SYD, SYD-BKK-LHR, LGW-GRO, GRO-CIA, CIA-MAD, MAD-LGW

A lot of these are summer seasonal services, probably operated at weekends and at peak summer when demand is less on business routes. Add in the to be expected odd route that hasnt worked out, or that has a frequency reduction and maybe no extra aircraft wont be needed. GVA has a lot of new routes but then a lot of the ski season capacity needs to go somewhere

However maybe MXP will get an extra aircraft with AZ pulling back. Easyjet have certainly expanded domestically there recently

MXP-BRU is a good addition.

Easyjet are slowly building up a presence at BRU with routes to GVA, SXF, NCE and now MXP. Looking more likely that it might not be too long before BRU becomes a base.

Sit back, relax and enjoy your flight with us today.

MXP is getting 2 extra 319s as far as I'm aware, bringing the total based aircraft to 10.

EasyJet has had billboards and newspaper ads in the GVA area advertising most of those new routes for the past few weeks. Noticed another today promoting low fares to Nantes.

Do you have any info on which are seasonal and which are going to last beyond the summer?

That could work well. Any rumoured routes? Would be healthy competition for FR at CRL.

So they were clearly announced a few weeks ago then - strange how U2 doesn't put route news on news pages for all countries. FR makes an enormous racket when they open new routes!

No, and in some cases Easyjet may not have decided themselves. But destinations like Split and Ibiza are very seasonal, and Im sure EZY have done GVA-Olbia in the summer before
