May want to add "Transformer" to your title to clarify a little more. A power transformer blew about 5:00pm causing power outages around the airport. CO2497 was taking off when it started, Capt advised saw a large blue arc, then alot of sparks. Apparantly its right at the end of the runway.
Enjoying the view of KIAH approach end of 27. 29.9758015, -95.2695694

My family was at the airport when it happened. From what they have said, it was pure chaos. Also, i've heard that the explosion of the transformer made a "mini mushroom" cloud. (not a nuke, don't start the conspiracies.)
Anyways, the checkin for terminal C had little walking room, as there were thousands of people stuck in their waiting to get put on a standby list.
