What If Skybus Served HPN Instead Of SWF For NYC

Would it have been a better choice for skybus to serve HPN over SWF, given its closer proximity to NYC and the sucess of FL and B6 their. It might have higher yeilds espcially since SWF is not a realistic option for people traveling to NYC...

HPN is an expensive, niche airport to operate from. And SWF is just as realistic as many of FR's destinations in Europe and their proximity to major city centers.

HPN is also capacity controlled based on # of seats per 1/2 hour. I don't think their are any openings remaining.

True, at least SWF offers reasonable long term parking rates.

Also, IIRC, HPN uses the same ground personnel for check in and boarding for all airlines, and at SWF you get to hire your own gate agents, etc.

There can't be a lot of room left at HPN after jetBlue moved in. SWF is no dumber than ISP for New York, neither is really convenient unless you are travelling with only a backpack. Both require ground transportation to the train, and both will get you to Penn Station. SWF to Penn might be a little more expensive than ISP to Penn.

Skybus should really be a man, and fly to one of the big three (JFK, EWR, or LGA).
