Hey All,

I often sit on my Balcony here in Nice and watch planes taking off.... however there was a strange movement last weekend.

In the photo you can see an Emirates B777-300 bound for Dubai

An unknown aircraft (Russian perhaps?)

Easyjet A319 for Bristol

and SAS A321 to Copenhagen.

Any info would be appreciated

The Russian one is a Tupolev Tu-154-M

Looks like a Tu-154 to me I think belonging to Rossiya.

When in doubt give it a clout

Indeed it is a Tupolev TU-154m, possibly one of Pulkovo Airlines' fleet that does charters to NCE

Thanks man! It's a shame my camera can't zoom anymore than it does - its just a point and shoot. Also a shame that the biggest planes that come are the Delta 767 and Emirates 777 and I think thats it for wide bodies - 2 a day is sad  Sad hehe

Thanks for everyones help in identifying it

You were lucky, last week-end was the end of the MIPIM week in Cannes - which translated to lots of Russian airliners in NCE. In fact, there were several Tu-154m and also Yak-42 as well. Wind direction got them all to t/o on 22L.

Hmmmm that explains then why there were one or two dozen private jets here all week too! Usually there are about 3 or 4 !
